The Village of Oak Park is designing a program, currently named Oak Park Energy Navigator (OPEN), to give residents all the tools they need to make homes more comfortable and efficient and to save money on utility bills. Help the project team by telling us what you would like to see in a program.

Who should take this survey:

  • Homeowners in Oak Park

  • Renters in Oak Park

  • Landlords and property managers in Oak Park

  • Representatives or advocates for community-based organizations


The Oak Park Energy Navigator (OPEN) is currently in its introductory phase. Elevate, a Chicago-based national nonprofit leading the program, is inviting select households to participate in OPEN to receive the following:

  • A home energy assessment
  • A customized Home Energy Roadmap
  • Expert support to help navigate home energy improvements, secure resources, and maximize energy and utility cost savings


Feedback from participants during OPEN’s introductory phase will play a vital role in shaping the program ahead of its full launch in early 2026.
