Key Dates

A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 at the Oak Park River Forest High School Large Auditorium (201 N. Scoville Ave.). The hearing will begin at 6 p.m.

The Petitioner (Village of Oak Park) seeks approval of comprehensive amendments to the Oak Park Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map. Outlined as part of Shape Oak Park, these proposed amendments are intended to address and incentivize missing middle housing types.

A copy of the proposed comprehensive amendments to the Oak Park Zoning Ordinance and Map are available for public inspection at Village Hall, Development Services Department, 123 Madison Street, Oak Park, Illinois 60302, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. The Plan Commission may continue the hearing to another date without further notice by public announcement at the hearing setting forth the time and place thereof.
